Valkyrie 101: How to become a Valkyrie (The Afterlife Academy: Valkyrie Book 1) by Arizona Tape
This is the first book of this author’s that I read, and I was instantly enthralled by the world building, the characters, and the dynamics. While some of the interactions, such as between Ylva and her roommate, and her feelings for her roommate, as well as her and the others, seem a bit shallow and could probably be cleared up with a good conversation, given the age of the characters, it’s understandable why things are. This is a typical academy book where the adults seem to be nowhere around when the mischief is happening, and it ended on a cliffhanger, but it’s an excellent read and I can’t wait for book 2.
